Speaking as someone who is getting back into learning German, I'm finding this book helpful. It starts out with some basic things that I already know, but quickly gets to things that I needed a refresher for. Now I'm getting into some grammatical topics that I either didn't know, or knew about them but never had them spelled out so clearly before. It's such a relief to have German grammar actually spelled out so clearly and understandably. I'm looking forward to getting further along and strengthening my German even more.The one negative thing about it is that the while it goes into the very basics in the beginning, it also has some vocabulary and uses some grammar concepts early on that may not be easy for a beginner to understand. For example, chapter 2 has the phrase 'kennen zu lernen' without introducing the word 'kennenlernen' and explaining how that turns into 'kennen zu lernen' in some cases. While it has English translations of German sentences, since the word order isn't the same between the 2 languages, it would help if it translated the words before putting them into a sentence.Still, if you have a basic understanding of German, this book will definitely help you increase your skills and teach you things clearly and simply.
